Oh Holy Night

          Advent At The Bridge
The Bridge was buzzing with activity during advent. Animals of all kinds were busy making Christmas gifts that will be loaded on Santa's sleigh and delivered to creatures all over the world. Simon, the Mountain Goldfinch was flitting nervously around the large craft room while supervising the song birds that were intricately weaving beautiful edible wreaths for delivery to earth. Oh me, oh my, we will never have enough wreaths done in time for Christmas exclaimed Simon.  Enzo!! Hey quit watching the birds and start packing the cookies in the boxes that Judge Foley just dropped off. I am so sorry Caesar I just got so fascinated by how the the birds fly so effortlessly without the use of Bridge issued artificial wings! Hmm...silly boy thats because the birds already had wings when they got here, said Caesar. Oh thats right I never thought about that!  Now lets get these cookies boxed up so Santa can deliver them to the homeless animals, the shelters and to those in need. Caesar and Enzo were so busy putting cookie boxes into the magic bags to be delivered by Santa, they almost didn't notice the flour coated Lucky, Frank and Willie standing in front of them with paws tapping and mumbling why aren't the bakers doing the baking? In unison Caesar and Enzo responded it's our day off! The three weary bakers let out a sigh and returned to brushing the residual crumbs out of their fur. In the meantime Willie was shaking out his apron while Mickey was curiously checking out the delectable particles that fell on the floor. Yummy! These taste delicious guys, they are the best heavenly biscuits yet! About that time a golden streak went sliding by and cookie boxes slid at lightening speed on the freshly waxed floor. The sneaky folding chair that caused the entire commotion seemed to be laughing in the corner while nurses Megan and Shiloh helped an embarrassed Enzo to his feet. The craft room became strangely quiet and all eyes turned towards the corner where Angel R was sternly reprimanding the offensive chair for its bad behavior. Suddenly the room erupted in laughter and the bridge angels resumed their duties as Santa's helpers.

   The Reason For The Season
Several hours passed and the Angel Animals chatted away while they happily packed Santa's Magic Bag. Suddenly Angel Summer walked up to Enzo and whispered this in his ear. "I know that what we are doing is out of the kindness of our hearts and shows compassion and care towards others. But who taught us to follow the goodness in our hearts to use to help others?" Let me think a minute Miss Summer I believe I remember something  a long time ago from my life on the mountain. I was asleep on my favorite lookout post on the corner of the driveway. As I slept I heard the gentle whisper of the wind through the pines, the softness of the snow and the voice of a distant coyote. Then I remember seeing the brighest star ever and a song that I cannot place at this time but it rang from the heavens like angels were singing it. Yes it was so beautiful that music notes rained from the sky. Enzo opened his eyes which had been tightly closed as he recalled his life before the bridge and realized all the angels had stopped working to gather around and listen to his story. All but Angel Guinevere were there. Guin was standing next to one of the craft tables and gently lifted a beautiful tiny little dog by the name of Princess Jolie onto the table beside her. Guin said to Enzo is this what you heard the night of the bright star? As soon as Guin finished speaking Princess Jolie lifted her head and sang in the most gorgeous voice "Oh Holy Night, the stars are brightly shining, tis the night of our dear saviors birth, Oh fall on your knees and hear the angel voices, Oh night devine". Yes declared Enzo! Thats it! Thank you Guin and thank you Princess Jolie for reminding us what Christmas is all about. You see Miss Summer it is about the baby that was born under the star that brings the love into our homes and through his spirit we are able to help others. I read it in an open black book with a frayed red ribbon marking a page that said,
"Born this day in the City of David a Savior whom is Christ the Lord". And now I understand that song I heard that night was from the angel choir of which now I am a part of. Thank you Enzo said Miss Summer my Mommy told me the same story about the true meaning of Christmas but it is reassuring to hear it again at the bridge. Now we need to have our gifts ready for Santa because it is almost midnight and he will be here soon.

Meanwhile In The Mortal World
Shadow, Clarabelle, Roscoe, Juno, Miss Jessie, Kahlua, Miss Bonnie, Juno and Jax, Chloe, Benny, Benni and Bobby, Pacquiao are attending a Christmas party at Enzo's Garage when "Suddenly there was a great light and a multitude of voices praising God in the highest and on earth, peace, goodwill towards all men".
Shadow thought quietly to himself as hugged Clarabelle tightly the angel choir was beautiful tonight.
Merry Christmas everyone and to all a Good Night.

Shadow vs The Washing Machine

"I have been referred to as the Little Dude On The Mountain but today I earned the title of The Brave Little Dude On The Mountain"!

Mom was cleaning the house this morning and was busy wiping off bathroom counters while dad was in town.  She started the laundry while I was sleeping beside the kitchen table. I laid there with my ears finely tuned to any strange noises that needed "yarked" at.  (Us little dogs don't bark, we yark)!  I drifted off to dreamland to the sound of the water filling the big basin of the washing machine and the quiet hum of the clothes drier.  I dreamed of ice cream cones, butterflies, my binky chew toy and other silly things that flutter through my little dog mind. I kicked my feet and stretched when suddenly I heard a noise I never noticed before. The sound of the washing machine going on the wash cycle!  It made a loud click as the water shut off and the agitator started washing the clothes! Oh No! I must save Mom and Dads clothes I thought because the washing machine sounds angry!  So I put on my best big dog face and ran bravely into the laundry room to face the enormous washer! Yark, Yark, Yark! Don't you eat our clothes you big bad washer you! I think I really agitated it because it kept agitating in spite of my fearless yarks! At last I got the monster to stop agitating and the gentle sound of the rinse water came on. I was very pleased with myself and went and told mom that I made the washer behave and her clothes were safe because of my efforts! She laughed at me, rubbed my ears and told me "Good Dog Shadow" I am very proud of how brave you are. Well I puffed out my chest and went and laid down to finish my nap dreaming of kibble and cookies oh and ice cream! I love ice cream! No dream is complete without ice cream!

As I drifted off into dreamland there was that evil click again and the agitator started rinsing our clothes! I scrambled to my feet and ran into the laundry room to again face the giant white washer.  Yark, Yark, Yark!  Stop beating up our clothes!  The drier was quietly humming away. I thought to myself why can't the washer behave as politely as the clothes drier?  I will have to solve that later because right now I have to finish yarking at the washer! Finally I heard the water emptying and so I ran to proudly tell mom about making the washer behave. Again she laughed and rubbed my ears. Another Good Boy Shadow! You are such a brave boy. Now no sooner than I could puff my chest out in pride of conquering the washer there was another click and the spin cycle started! Oh my gosh these dab gum washers sure keep a little dog busy making sure that they behave! Back to the laundry room for round three of yarking at the misbehaving appliance! Finally it slowed down to a quiet swish, swish, swish until it got tired and stopped. I hope that it learned how to act as nicely as the clothes drier which was still gently humming away in the laundry room.

So if you need to teach your washer a lesson I am available to assist you!  I have attached my Business Card for your convenience!

Kisses from the Brave Little Dude on the Mountain,
Shadow

Dog And Butterfly

                 The New Guy
I have been watching my parents from the cloud with the hole and the house was so quiet. The only sounds are those of human habitation and the mundane noises of everyday routines. The rattle of pots and pans, the hum of the refrigerator and the sound of the television as the talking heads discussed the days news events. Missing was the clicking sound of doggy toenails down the hallway and in the kitchen. An occasional happy bark and the sound of an enthusiastic tail wag. My parents were doing alright but there was something missing in their life and that missing piece was a dog.

My parents are seniors now and dogs as large as me are becoming to strong for them to handle. So I set my sights on finding them a little lap dog that could be tiny enough to sit in moms lap while she is knitting but tough enough to play with dad. Well I called all my angel friends together and told them I was worried about my parents because they looked lonely. I told them they needed a dog. A small dog to keep them company. Tango was the first to speak and suggested that I start my search in my own town in the mountains. Aran nodded in agreement because of her street smarts she often snuck over to the human side of the bridge to hear which people are going to be arriving soon and if they had a pet that would be left behind. Aran in her soft voice told Lucky about a dog that she knew of that needed a home on the mountain. Lucky smiled and stood up straight and proud as he revealed to the others about a tiny little minature Dachshund named Shadow whose owner was scheduled to arrive in heaven shortly. Enzo rubbed his whiskers and thought for a minute or so and finally said yes! I will fly down tomorrow and check this little guy out and hopefully get this doggy to my parents.

         A Gift From The Bridge
The next day Enzo arrived in the mortal world disguised as a golden butterfly and introduced himself to Shadow. Shadow watched intently as Enzo flitted around his head and gently landed on the little dog's paw. Shadow said in a little dog voice hello butterfly. Enzo replied hello back. At that Shadow was startled that a butterfly knew how to speak dog?!  How do you know my language asked Shadow? Because I am a dog, a big golden retriever named Enzo. I live in the mountain section at the Rainbow Bridge. Are you an angel dog asked Shadow? Yes I am but I wanted to visit you as a butterfly since you are so little and I am so big that I didn't want to scare you. The reason for my visit is I know you will be needing a home soon and I think I have a perfect place for you to live. They love dogs and will take such good care of you. You will be fed twice a day and have unlimited treats, walks and cuddles!  Shadow softly asked Enzo who are my new parents and how will they know how to find me?  Enzo fluttered off Shadow's paw and landed on his nose. Enzo sat on Shadow's nose for a minute and then said gently to the little dog. Shadow, look at your collar where your tags are and you will find a sterling silver butterfly.  My parents will find you when they see the butterfly and you will know that I am your new guardian angel watching over you now and always. Shadow watched as the beautiful golden butterfly disappeared into the heavens. He let out a little bark to say goodbye to his new friend when he heard a new sound jingling on his tags. When he looked down he saw a tiny silver butterfly attached to his collar. Suddenly Shadow smiled and sighed a sigh of contentment because he knew that he had the perfect forever home.

Lessons From The Bridge

Yawn, stretch what a beautiful morning thought Enzo. The human angels had just turned on the big warm yellow ball and were putting on the finishing touches on the sky. Orange, pinks and lavenders illuminated the gorgeous sunrise. Enzo rubbed his eyes and gazed intently at the distant rainbow that marked the entryway to the Bridge. He didn't think he would ever get tired of the view he had from his eternal mountain home. His tinest friend Simon the Goldfinch fluttered about singing a cheery tune. Enzo cocked his head and listened to Simon's song for the asking, when a familiar smell came from the silver bowl that contained his low calorie diet breakfast. Not again thought Enzo as he lifted the cover off the bowl and glared at the diet kibble that Judge Foley ordered for him. I wonder how long it will be before I get some real food up here? Come on Simon let's go to the stream and feed Clyde. It seemed to Enzo that Clyde the Rainbow Trout was the only creature at the bridge that liked diet kibble. So Enzo accompanied by Simon started up the trail to the quiet water where Clyde made his home. Enzo and Simon sat on the bank of sparkling mountain stream as they smiled at the enthusiastic fish as he gobbled up the tasteless diet kibble!

Now Simon can fly on his own, but his favorite spot for traveling is on top of Enzo’s fury head. He loved riding up there while softly speaking in Enzo’s ear. Simon, though very sweet, was also a bit of a gossip. Simon grabbed Enzo’s ear in his beak & pulled it open so he could tell him a secret.

“I heard” Simon quietly whispered as he darted his eyes around making sure no one else was within ear’s reach, “there’s a chocolate fountain in the town hall for the spring celebration.” Enzo’s eyes opened wide as he began to picture the yummy, brown confection slowly dripping off the fountain. He stuck out his tongue and could practically taste the melting chocolate from his imagination soaking his tongue with scrumptiousness. Simon laughed at Enzo’s dazed eyes & big tongue hanging out of his mouth. “Enzo! Ennnnzoooh! snap out of it buddy” Simon exclaimed! Enzo blinked & then blinked again, finally the glassy expression on his face dissipated & Enzo uttered, like Batman would instruct Robin “to the Town Hall!”

The Diet Kibble Rebellion of                            2022

Enzo and Simon hurried along the path to the bridge's main meeting place dubbed as the Town Hall. When suddenly they heard quite a commotion up ahead of them with cries of No More Diet Kibble!!! We want the freedom to eat cookies and drink from the chocolate fountain! As Simon and I came closer we met Angels Willie, Mickey, Aran, Lucky, Max, Radar, Pocket, Kane, Daisy, Megan, Gwen and Marshmallow!  My eyes were wide and said to my friends are you getting diet kibble too? Yes they said in unison and it tastes awful. Will you join us in boycotting Judge Foleys diet. Why yes I would love to participate when suddenly Simon fluttered about tweeting excitably about the chocolate fountain! All eyes turned to watch the silly little goldfinch when it sunk in about what he was twittering about!  Signs dropped to the ground and Aran yelled Charge! There was a flurry of paws scrambling on the soft dirt of the freshly groomed trail that led to the Town Hall and the revered chocolate fountain!

I don't remember what happened next or how it happened but somehow Pocket Dog was swimming in the fountain while Mickey was slowly pulling the fresh white tablecloth closer to tipping the fountain over. I waited with great anticipation as the drool dribbled from my lips onto the spotless floor. It was then that my wildest dreams came true! I was standing in front of the long elaborately decorated buffet table covered in lucious, mouth watering chocolate!
Oops!

       Going Before Judge Foley

As I sat nervously in the big chair facing the Judges highly polished Walnut desk I ran my paw under it where it firmly stuck to something sticky. Oh boy I know what this is but how in the world did Foley Monster manage to bring an earthly belonging with her to the Bridge complete with River Songs chewing gum! I finally decided that since she was in charge she was probably allowed to bring her desk and her sisters gum to keep her close until it was her turn to cross the river of life. Shivers ran up my spine as the big door slammed shut and the tiny little judge appeared in the same comically oversized robe! She sat down with a loud thump expressing her displeasure of me interupting her lunch break. Both paws on the desk she leaned over and looked me in the eyes saying Enzo why didn't you come to me directly to address your dislike for the diet kibble. Wouldn't that have been better than ruining the town hall celebration in which all of you were invited. She paused and waited for my answer. Slightly shaken with embarrassment for my actions I quietly responded yes that would have been better and I am sorry for the mess. I will start cleaning right away.
Judge Foley slid down in her chair and her face softened as she quietly said thank you Enzo for your honesty and I hope you learned your first lesson in how to be a good angel. I love you and you are doing really well at being a sweet clown!

As I left the Judges office I whistled a tune and danced with my mop! It felt very good to hear the words "good boy"!

Lessons From The Bridge

       Note From Enzo's Mom:
As we age our bodies change which triggers that response of uh oh that middle age spread is spreading a little to far! Well the same thing happened to Enzo and guess what? His friends loved him just the way he is!

***This blog was written as a joint project by Lucky's Mom Julie and myself.

        Tummy? What Tummy?
It seemed like I floated forever through the clouds when I suddenly landed with a "Thud" in front of a set of big golden gates. Thud? Then "Umph". Now that's odd thought Enzo I figured clouds would be soft and I sratched my head at this rather strange landing. As I sat on the nice fluffy cloud pondering about the muffled Umph. I suddenly heard a soft but slightly annoyed voice saying alright big boy would you please remove your fuzzy bottom off of me! You are getting golden fur all over my robe not to mention you bent one of my wings! I jumped up and looked between my feet at a slightly rumpled Judge Foley still clutching her notebook where she entered the names of all the pets as they entered the gates to the Bridge. What are you doing out here I said as Foley jumped up, shaking out her robe and straightening her halo. If you must know Mr Enzo you are very late for your appointed arrival time so I stepped outside the gate to see if you were actually coming today. Then while I was looking through the cloud with the hole in it something quite heavy sat on me. With that said Foley poked my tummy with her paw and said oh dear we will never find wings to fit over that round belly of yours!
I glanced at my tummy and realized just how many cookies I had eaten while I was hanging out with my parents. Oops I am so sorry Foley I guess I did put on a few extra pounds and I hope I didn't hurt you. Well let's get you sworn in and settled into the mountain section of the rainbow bridge then we will work on getting you in an exercise program. Oh nooooo thought Enzo I finally arrived at the place of eternal rest and the first thing I get is diet kibble and an exercise program? Nooooooo!
Actually, come to think of it, I said as I sucked my tummy in, I think I’m just a bit bloated from the free peanuts and soda the Angel stewardesses give you as you travel up and over the Rainbow Bridge. I didn’t mention to the judge that I actually had 3 bubbly cans of pop and 5 extra bags of peanuts before I landed on her. Luckily, as I looked away from the stern faced judge, I noticed a familiar face, my old pal Willie!
It had been far too long since we last saw each other. We greeted each other with a big, heartfelt hug! Willie whispered in my ear as we embraced, come with me and I’ll take you to the never ending cookie jar they have here. They are the yummiest treats I’ve ever tasted!”
Um, I’m sorry I squashed you when I landed Foley, but I really must go now. Willie and I have a lot of catching up to do. Then Willie grabbed my paw and we quickly ran off towards the delicious heavenly treats!
Willie and I hurried down the neatly raked path leading to the heavenly treat jar. There were many old friends lingering around the bridge break room. But my eyes were drawn to the two beautiful flowing fountains in the center of the room. One appeared to be bubbling spring water but the other one smelled so delicious it made my nose lead me right to it! Willie what is that wonderful smell? It is chocolate said Willie, you know the stuff you were not allowed to eat in the mortal world because it was bad for you. But nothing can hurt you up here so you can have all the forbidden food you want! As Willie was speaking he showed me how to lap up the yummy cocoa flavored water. I drank until my belly started grumbling. Uh Oh I forgot about my diet!!! Judge Foley will be really upset if I get any rounder! That's when I noticed the full length mirror in the corner and paused to admire my newly aquired body shape. I patted my tummy and thought about all the wonderful treats that filled up that nicely rounded belly! That's when I noticed a small figure in the mirror. Enzo come with me we are going to the bridge gym for your first heavenly workout. But, but your honor I have only been here an hour and I already have to hit the gym?! Yes replied the judge. We must keep our angels in good shape so we don't have to keep ordering new wings. Besides I think there is a friend of yours waiting to see you. His name is Lucky and he is also on an exercise and diet program. What is it with golden retrievers anyway? Don't you know when to stop eating? Now come with me Mr Enzo.
I begrudgingly followed the judge to the gym. Other than hiking and swimming, I’ve never cared much for other forms of exercise. Why walk on the treadmill when I can run and explore a large beautiful mountain? I don’t see any reason to lift weights, I’m very strong from helping Mommy & Daddy with all the chores around our rural property. Foley seems to be the chief around here, so I went where I was told (for now, wink).
As I walked into to the gym, I caught myself in the mirror again. I really like my big belly, it’s full of happy, tasty memories and offers more room on my belly for rubs. My tummy also makes it more inviting for cozy cuddling. If you ask me, I look pretty darn good. Okay, time for the gym tour. “Treadmills & stair steppers here, weight room there”, I tried hard not to roll my eyes as Foley showed me around, but I just couldn’t seem to help myself. Ugh! Non of this exercise stuff was part of my eternal peace plan.
Finally, I was shown the pool and wow was it big and beautiful! All natural rock, slippery slides, a long, tall diving board and a big waterfall at the end of it! I think this might work out just fine, as long as I only spend my time in the pool, just then, my thought was interrupted. I heard a loud, excited howl calling to me from one of the water slides. “Hey Enzo, it’s me Buddy!” Slipping quickly into the pool I could see a gold blur, with a huge, what looked like a pink tongue hanging out of it. Was that Lucky? It all happened too fast to be sure?
Then, suddenly, from underneath the water, like a fuzzy submarine on red alert that was headed right towards me. When the curly wet mass reached my fluffy toes on the edge of the pool, up popped a big fury, wet mess with a giant smile, “Enzo, it’s you! I’ve missed you so much” Lucky said through panting breath.
Enzo! What are you doing in the shallow end asked Lucky? With a quick roll of the eyes I explained I never learned to swim and now I am a little self conscious about my expanding waistline! I looked away just as Lucky exploded in laughter! He hopped out of the pool and proudly showed me his round tummy which he rubbed and said this is called "love" because it is filled with unlimited cookies from my parents! This tummy reminds me of my home, my family and the love we shared when I lived with them. Lucky and I got very quiet and with a big smile I rubbed my tummy and felt the love from every cookie my parents fed me. Right then I thought to myself this is not so bad after all as I hugged my friend Lucky.
***The moral of our story is be kind to yourself and know that you are loved just the way you are.

Enzo Ponders The Meaning Of Life

          Pondering Life and
         Helping the Old Folks
I thought and thought until my brain hurt. As I laid on my favorite spot on the balcony in the warm sunshine I tried to figure out the true meaning of life.  I know that my Pawrents have told me that I have a really bad disease called cancer and that someday I will go to a place called the Rainbow Bridge. But I am a stubborn golden and I am not ready to go off by myself to someplace in the clouds. My Pawrents are getting older and still need my help here on earth. Dad needs help bringing in wood so as long I am able I will continue to bring sticks in the house for him. I even dug out the picnic table so they can find it this spring when BBQ season starts!  Yummmm...BBQ!!! Hey Lucky do they have BBQ's up there?! And Mickey are there bears there?  Do you have an extra binky? So many questions are running through my mind it makes my brain work overtime!
       And Then There Is Mom
My biggest "little" problem is my mom. She suffers from something the humans call PTSD which makes her scared to do the things she used to love and wakes up screaming in fear. I need to be there for her to hug and cuddle. I am better at calming her down than humans. I just can't leave her like this.
My body aches and I get tired very easy but mom and dad give me medicine to make the aches and pains go away. So as long as I get good medicine I will stay as long as I can.  My Pawrents need me...and I need them.
I already had a dream where Judge Foley visited me in my sleep. She showed me photos of wiggly little golden retriever puppies waiting at the bridge to be born in the mortal world. So many decisions to make but love is keeping me here for now. Love for my home, my mom, my dad, my garage, my many garage friends and "my" mountain, Enzo's Mountain.
Thank you for extending your love and prayers that is extending my stay on earth where I am needed right now.
I love you all very much.

Lucky's First Day at the Bridge

            The Awakening
Lucky opened his eyes after what seemed like years of floating upward. He blinked and looked all around him. He saw a beautiful golden staircase that seemed to be thumbtacked to the sky. Hmm...how is that possible he thought since being a smart dog he knew air wasn't solid. So thumbtacks would be impossible! As he scratched his head he pondered how did I get way up here and how am I able to sit on a cloud?  As he pondered and thought, thought and pondered a big golden gate swung open and a stern looking little Yorkie appeared in what Lucky thought was dressed in a comically long black robe! The tiny dog held a notebook in her paws and barked very loudly are you Lucky Doodle?  The big bark from this tiny robed figure startled him and for a moment he shivered. Another bark, another shiver, well are you going to enter or not. Or would you rather stay out here and sit on the cloud you landed on? Lucky thought maybe he should obey this tiny dog in the long robe and follow her inside the gate. The gate slammed shut so quickly that he grabbed his tail to keep it safe! Whew he thought that was close. He barely had time to think beyond the slamming gate when the Honorable Judge Foley Monster barked, raise your right paw and repeat after me. "I Lucky Doodle promise to be a good and obedient angel obeying all the laws and rules of the Rainbow Bridge. I will never chase the cats at the bridge, especially but not limited to your girlfriend's kitty Frank. I will never approach the Great Bear without a binky and a brave escort. I will not play fetch with someone else's halo nor ruffle the feathers of anyone else's wings.  Do you agree to these conditions?". Yyyes said a a shivering Lucky. Suddenly the little Yorkie stepped out of her black robe and looked like a sweet little doggy wearing a pretty pink collar! Lucky sighed a sigh of relief as he looked at the judge and beyond at the beauty that he saw around him. His eyes were big as he looked around at pieces of landscape that belonged to every corner of the world. So each animal had a part of their home with them.  He looked very hard for a glimpse of his beloved palm trees but watered up when he couldn't find a single sign of them. He put his head in his paws as the tears began to fall. But suddenly he felt the touch of a hand, a human hand. He felt safe as the human spoke to him in a soft voice. Hello Lucky my name is Laura Lunn and I am the human keeper of the bridge. Would you like me to take you to the land of the palm trees? Lucky shook his head yes that would be very kind of you. Laura bent down and kissed Lucky gently on the head and rubbed his ears. Come with me and you can see your new home. They walked a long ways passing mountains, deserts, canyons, rivers, streams and tropical forests with misty rain and beautiful birds that Lucky had never seen before. What a beautiful place he thought. He quizzically looked at his new friend and said politely, Laura are we allowed to visit these other magical places or do I have to stay at the land of the palm trees? Laura smiled and said softly no Lucky you may visit any of the lands you wish and make new friends and play with old friends. But when your eyes get heavy and the sun goes down you can return to your own corner of the bridge to sleep. Just then Lucky turned his head to see the palms bending gently in the breeze! I'm home thought Lucky as he turned to say thank you to Laura. But she was gone! Suddenly Judge Foley appeared and said come on Lucky and I will get you settled in your new home. But where did Laura go? Foley explained that as the human bridge keeper she was very busy escorting all of the pets to their perspective corners of the bridge and she left to help another doggy to their bridge home. Now come with me pretty boy so I can tuck you in. You will have a very busy day tomorrow getting your halo and fitted for your wings. Lucky had so many questions for Judge Foley but he was so tired from his long journey that he snuggled up under a palm and pulled the fleece blanket that Judge Foley had given him up to his ears. For a moment he gazed at the gorgeous sunset unfolding in front of him. He yawned as he said goodnight to his mommy, daddy and his human brother. May God Bless and know that I am in a beautiful place and I love you til the end of time.
Signed Your Baby,
Lucky
